Southampton, Store Support Office

We believe anyone can improve their home to make life better. From our Southampton Store Support office (SSO) we equip our stores, our people, and our whole business with everything it takes to help our millions of customers create a home they’ll love. Join us as a Data Insights Analyst and you’ll be a big part of this.

Behind every project, purchase and customer interaction ther is a wealth of data that helps us understand what our customers need, what inspires them, and how we can create even better experiences.

We’re looking for an Insights Analyst to join our growing Analytics & Data Science team at an exciting time. Data is playing an increasingly important role across our business, shaping decisions across customer, loyalty, supply chain & logistics. If you’re naturally curious, passionate about solving business problems, and love turning complex data into meaningful insight and stories, we’d love to hear from you.

What's the job?

  • Use data to uncover insights that drive better business decisions and improve customer outcomes
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, compelling stories and actionable recommendations
  • Partner with stakeholders across Customer, Digital, Supply Chain, Logistics and Commercial teams
  • Tackle a wide range of business problems, from customer behaviour and performance optimisation to operational efficiency
  • Deliver deep-dive analysis and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, influencing and supporting decision-making at all levels
  • Support experimentation and test-and-learn approaches, bringing creativity and new ideas to how we solve problems
  • Work collaboratively with analysts and data scientists to deliver impactful analytical solutions
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and data-driven thinking

What we need:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working with complex datasets
  • SQL skills, with experience in Python and/or R (desirable)
  • Experience working in cloud-based data environments (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery)
  • The ability to translate data into clear insight and compelling storytelling
  • A passion for understanding customers and putting them at the heart of decision-making
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across different areas of the business
  • Curiosity, creativity and a willingness to challenge the status quo
  • A proactive mindset — not afraid to take risks, test ideas and try new approaches
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data quality

What's in it for me?
